Did you know that volunteering has many benefits? Of course!
First of all, there are plenty of opportunities on the island of Montreal. Know that you will not have to look long to give your time to a cause that is dear to you.
Being a volunteer means that you will come into contact with other volunteers who have the same values as you. It is very likely that you will create new friendships. Your volunteer experiences can also be added to your resume and they can allow you to practice a new language with your fellow volunteers. These are just a few of the benefits of volunteering.
But we must not forget that being a volunteer is first of all giving your time to people in need.
If you are interested in volunteering, it is possible to register via the registration form.
Once registered, we will contact you as soon as possible.
Following the first contact, an interview takes place with the worker in charge of volunteering. During this, you will be asked several questions relating to your interests and your availability, in addition to scenarios.
Finally, La Maisonnée will contact you to let you know if your application has been accepted.
Can I volunteer during evenings and weekends?

I am currently an asylum seeker. Can I volunteer at your organization?
Absolutely, whether you are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, asylum seeker, foreign student or temporary worker, you can volunteer with us.
Can I get involved in several volunteer activities?
Of course! If you have time, you can get involved in several volunteer missions. For example, you could get involved as an interpreter, but also at the food bank. The possibilities are limitless!
Do I have to get involved as a volunteer for a minimum period?
You can volunteer at La Maisonnée for as long as you wish or even help us with a single activity. Everything is possible. What is important is to respect your commitments and notify us as soon as possible if you cannot participate in one of our activities.
