Our organization is considered as an external resource partner of Services-Québec (Emploi-Québec) and, for over 40 years, has developed expertise in the reception and professional immersion of immigrants.

Counseling and career guidance
Personalized and enhanced support in your job search and training-studies. We propose you to carry out: The evaluation of your professional experience and studies in the country of origin and in Quebec; the creation of your professional profile and your skills assessment; the highlighting of your practical and theoretical knowledge, your sub-skills, abilities and professional potential; the composition of a Master resume or Mega resume with ramification of essential and secondary skills; the assembly of a cluster of targeted resumes that cover all the job offers you are seeking; the use of a signaller (Aiguilleur) from a job offer to a targeted resume and vice versa; support in access to regulated professions and trades (professional orders, construction trades, health care, etc.).
We also have special services for accessing and preparing competitions in the Public Service.

Job retention
Your early career requires a certain stability in employment, we accompany you for four months collaborating with your employer. The specialized employment assistance services offer you direct tripartite support (you – the counsellor – the employer) so that you can fully occupy your place in the company. You are experiencing integration or inclusion problems, your work tasks are not up to your skills, you lack professional skills to develop in the workplace, you need professional training (work-study), your working conditions do not meet your expectations…We work with your employer to help you achieve beneficial results.

Workshops, webinars and search job assistance activities
We offer about ten regular workshops and specific workshops. Participation in job search workshops offered monthly and occasionally is an important step for the job seeker. Our workshops are designed to guide you through the job search process. About 15 workshops are offered by specialists in teleconference or face-to-face.

Visits and services to companies
For businesses and employers
We offer several interesting possibilities for businesses and employers, including exploring the pools of candidates for job offers; creating databases for those eligible for job interviews; scheduling and organizing in-company interviews; organizing flash recruitment for 10 to 400 candidates; assistance in applying for a wage subsidy; job placement and retention monitoring; information on the hiring of temporary foreign workers; and talent hunting (engineering technicians, IT, administration and finance. We also offer in situ inclusion training for executives, managers and HR.
For our job seekers
For our job seekers we offer company tours. Three types of business visits await you:
- Observation visits (you remotely observe operations)
- Exploration visits (you attend demonstrations in real time)
- Professional excursions in the region (visit the region and companies that recruit)
You will be accompanied by an employment counsellor at these visits to
- Have an idea about the workplace in your field;
- Meet technicians, administrators, recruiters, etc.;
- Observe industrial or administrative processes;
- Discuss your skills and education
- Submit your resume
- Attend information sessions on hiring conditions and
- Possibly request an internship

Immigration & Settling
This component offers you, as a newcomer, support adapted to your situation to allow you to live your arrival in Quebec in the best possible conditions. We offer support services for immigration, settlement, and integration into the host society. If you have legal difficulties, we can also assist you in several steps.
Francization & Language courses
In your workplace or in your daily life, knowledge of French is a must in Quebec. The courses, conversation workshops and leisure activities offered by La Maisonnée are spaces to learn, practice French and promote the language.
Support for youth & families
If you have problems with your school situation, at home, or in general health our services can help you! We offer adapted programs to facilitate the integration of young people in their school environment or in their neighbourhood, exchange workshops between parents to adapt to the new socio-cultural context and support as needed.
Community life
Community life is inseparable from everyday life and social life and this gives it its full meaning in Quebec. It helps to forge links between newcomers and the host society. Various activities are organized to promote integration and inclusion, especially through volunteering!

Our employment counsellors help you as a newcomer to identify your transferable skills, deal with cultural and professional realities here and abroad, and manage the order of priorities in the installation and integration process. They guide you in reshaping your professional profile, putting you back on a well-defined track, with the ultimate goal of job placement.
If your professional objective requires a return to studies, our counsellors provide you with the necessary information for the choice of appropriate training, the path to follow for registration to professional orders, general training, support and upgrading, subsidized training, loans and scholarships, etc.
