Promotion of the French language through leisure

Throughout the year, intercultural leisure activities are organized to introduce newcomers to the culture and regions of Quebec. These are opportunities to practice French with members of Quebec society and to learn about traditions. Discover the CULTURE ENCOUNTERS: “The art of speaking French to discover the other. Let us know, discover and exchange in a francophone Quebec.” It is about participating in social activities on the discovery of cultures (Quebecers and others) while promoting French speaking and Living Together. To make everything more accessible, these activities are aimed at youth, adults and families. Combining themes such as geography, history, material and intangible heritage, the arts of social activities, literature, paintings, music, kitchen theatres, as well as the particularities of the French language in Quebec and elsewhere, these social activities will become objects for sharing knowledge, life experiences and intercultural encounters.
