Are you looking for an enriching summer experience for your children? La Maisonnée's Day Camp is the perfect place for them to spend a wonderful summer, filled with adventures, discoveries and new friends!

La Maisonnée’s summer camp plays a crucial role for young newcomer in their integration process. By providing an inclusive and stimulating environment, these camps allow children to become familiar with their new living environment while developing new social and language skills. Through a variety of fun and educational activities, children build friendships, self-confidence and open up to new perspectives. For families, these camps also represent a valuable opportunity, providing parents with peace of mind and the opportunity to enjoy the summer to the fullest, knowing that their children are in good hands and that they are benefiting from rich experiences that contributes to their personal growth and successful integration into their new community.

 

At La Maisonnée Day Camp, we are proud to have offered a multitude of exciting activities in 2023 to ensure your children have a summer filled with fun and learning. A warm welcoming staff, various games and playgrounds, musical awakening activities and captivating theatre workshops made each day exciting and fun. Our themed skits and weekly challenges encouraged creativity and collaboration and our group icebreakers fostered the development of new friendships. Whether it was exploring the Jean-Drapeau aquatic complex, participating in arts and crafts at the Marc Favreau Library or discovering biodiversity with GUEPE, each outing was a unique opportunity for learning and discovery. In addition, outings to the Montreal Planetarium and La Ronde have added a touch of magic to your children’s summer. For 2024, we have even more beautiful surprises and activities in store to stimulate your children’s body, mind and imagination.

For whom?

The camp is for children aged 6 to 12 who arrived in Canada in 2023-2024. NEW! Teenager from 13 to 17 years old have their own camp. The booking procedure is the same. For more information on teen camp, read on below.

When?

From July 1 to August 8, 2024, 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Where?

At École Saint-Étienne, located at 5959 avenue Christophe Colomb.

What?

Every day at camp is an adventure in itself! Your children will participate in a variety of socio-cultural, sports or artistic activities. In addition, they will have the opportunity to enjoy exciting outings to nearby parks and pools, as well as visits to touristic sites in Montreal and much more! We adapt our activities to meet the needs of newcomer youth who are learning French and in the process of integration.

How much?

The cost is very affordable, at only $80 per child for the 6 weeks! Plus, for an additional $10, your kids will receive a camp T-shirt. This rate includes the price of outings and activities, and 2 snacks per day.

With whom?

The camp is supervised by trained counsellors, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.

How to register?

NEW! Youth between the ages of 13 and 17 have their own summer camp.

What’s the difference with the 6-12 year-old camp?

Teenagers enrolled in the teen camp have their own space, they start their days a little later and they will do more community involvement activities, group projects and activities adapted to their age group. They will also have the chance to go on a variety of fun outings to explore Montreal.

When?

From July 1 to August 14, 2024, 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Where?

Basement of La Maisonnée, 6865 av. Christophe Colomb. Some outings take place at the same time as the children’s day camp.

How much is it?

It’s only $80 for all summer! The camp t-shirt is not mandatory for teenagers.

What?

The youth of the teen camp will carry out group projects (e.g., special out-of-town outing, large-scale art project such as a mural, entrepreneurship project, etc.) and they may be called to do fundraisers to carry out such projects.

With whom?

Teen activities are supervised by La Maisonnée’s socio-cultural youth community workers
